29-year-old Rohans More from Maharashtra India started off modestly in the open water swimming world with a Gateway of India swim in 1996. But since the summer of 2014, he has been on a tear overseas.
The software engineer did an English Channel crossing in 2014 in 13 hours 13 minutes, a crossing of the Catalina Channel in October 2014 in 10 hours 17 minutes, a crossing of the Molokai Channel the same month in 17 hours 28 minutes, and completed the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming with a 7 hour 43 minute Manhattan Island Marathon Swim on June 24th.
He is off next to Japan to attempt the Tsugaru Channel and many more after that.
