More About the Competition
World Aquatics also introduced the
competition format. In two groups of four teams for men and women, each team
plays against each other in the preliminary round, with the top two teams from
each group then competing in crossover matches for a place in the Super Finals
in the USA at the end of June. The Women's World Cup tournament takes place
from May 2nd to 4th, followed by the Men's from May 5th to 7th. The action
starts on the first day of play with two games for each team, making a total of
eight exciting matches for fans.
