WATER POLO USA Men Announce Roster For 2023 World Championships


 

Irvine, CA - July 12 - USA Water Polo Men's National Team Head Coach Dejan Udovicic has announced the roster of 15 athletes selected for competition at the 2023 World Aquatics World Championships set for July 15-29 in Fukuoka, Japan. Only 13 athletes will be eligible for each match and they will be determined prior to each game day. The USA Men are looking to build off a bronze medal finish at the 2023 World Aquatics World Cup in Los Angeles, their first medal in World Cup play since claiming gold in 1997. Team USA also earned a silver medal at the 2022 World League Super final and will be looking for their first medal in World Championship play.

Team USA has been drawn into Group A where the action begins Sunday, July 16 when the United States opens play against Kazakhstan at 5:00pm pacific time. They'll also meet Australia and Greece in group play. Live streaming of the World Championships will be available on NBC Peacock (login required).
