swimer in the 18th Traversata The nuoto at Lago Maggiore, in Italy
Opening the swimming calendar 2013/2014 across the
globe, the brazilian marathon swimer Francismar Siviero, will participate in
July 20, at the 18th Traversata the Nuoto at Lago Maggiore, in Italy. This is a traditional Italian
swimming race, organized by Alenia Aermacchi, from the Gruppo Nuoto. This
marathon has two paths. On Saturday morning, in the july 20th, the competitors
will swim the distance of 1,500 meters, from the local beach of the Gulf of
Reno to Liggiuno. In the afternoon, the distance will be of 4,000 meters,
departing from the beach Villa Pallavicino and arrival at Reno-Liggiuno Gulf.
Lake Maggiore, the place of the marathon swimming is one of the largest Italian
lakes. It is located north between the mountains of Piemont and the Swiss Alps.
"It is gratifying to be part of such a project, which summarizes perfectly
the spirit of healthy marathons, with a trip to the past history of where my
ancestors came from. Make a crossing at this location and breathe the
atmosphere of the lake is to travel in time, a preserved site, where nature,
art and history come together ", says Francismar Siviero. One of the main
obstacles of proof is the temperature of the water, where even in summer is
about 20 º C. The master swimmer is coached by Raul Fioravanti.
