Det første indledende afsnit ved EM bød på en dansk rekord og tre danske semifinalepladser.
De danske landsholdssvømmere kom godt fra start ved EM Kortbane, som startede i dag i Glasgow. I kvindernes 50 meter brystsvømning svømmede Matilde Schrøder fra Berns Swim Team / NTC sig videre til aftenens semifinaler i 12. hurtigste tid.
Hendes landsholdskammerart Tobias B. Bjerg fra AGF / NTC fulgte på flottest vis trop, da han med tiden 26.14 svømmede sig videre til semifinalerne i næst hurtigste tid – også på distancen 50 meter brystsvømning. Med tiden formåede Tobias i samme omgang at forbedre sin danske rekord på distancen med hele 0,32 sekunder.
Victoria Bierre fra Herlev Svømning / NTC præsterede også flot i sit første EM-løb. På 100 meter rygcrawl kvalificerede hun sig til aftenens semifinaler i 15. hurtigste tid.
