The
temperature before the 2023 ECA Canoe Polo Clubs European Championships in
Arcos de la Frontera, Spain, is rising. The organisers expect 33 teams from
eleven European countries to take part in the tournament. The medallists of
last year’s ECA Canoe Polo Clubs European Championships are all entered in the
tournament.
Arcos de
la Frontera, close to Cadiz, will turn into European Canoe Polo capital this
Saturday and Sunday, when more than 30 teams from Belgium, Denmark, France,
Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland and
Spain will fight for the canoe polo clubs European Champion titles.
Both
defending champions of the 2022 edition of the ECA Canoe Polo Clubs European
Championships, which was held in Belfast, are coming to Spain. Last year ASD
Pro Scogli Chiavari (ITA) celebrated 3-1 win against Avranches (FRA) in men’s
final, while in women’s tournament Italian team Polisportiva Canottieri Catania
won gold medals after the 3-2 win against Avranches (FRA). Bronze medal in
men’s tournament went to Germany with KSVH Berlin and in women’s tournament to
A.D. Pinatar (ESP).
