After exactly 12 months in office,
the new LEN Bureau, led by President Antonio Silva, is proud to share an update
of the LEN Strategic Action Plan, which shows that no fewer than 67 concrete
actions have been achieved across the 4 pillars of the Action Plan:
Pillar 1
Integrity, Transparence, and
Governance
23 actions achieved.
Pillar 2
Our Sport, Accessible to All
13 actions achieved.
Pillar 3
Aquatic Disciplines:
Learning and Working Together
14 actions achieved.
Pillar 4
Sustainability:
Making LEN Fit for the Future
17 actions achieved.
The LEN President said:
“The past year has been an exciting
challenge. I am very proud to lead a team, supported by stakeholders, who work
tirelessly to ensure that promises made become concrete actions.
“As you will read in the attached
document, we made close to 70 positive changes for the good of the sport in 12
months. But while this is a good start, there is still plenty to do. An action
plan needs to be a living document, that is constantly under review, which is
why we have set another 38 goals to achieve by the end of the new year.
I would like to thank all those who
have actively contributed, and will contribute this year, to actions which will
make LEN a role model amongst sport organisations, and further serve the
athletes and federations in our beloved sport of aquatics.”
