World Championships shows the pool is getting bigger and bigger and athletes
from the other European countries are strong contenders for the medals too.
Majority of the reigning World
Champions have come to Munich to compete at the second major international
event of the season, and many of the defending European champions will try to
keep the title in their possession.
The competitions start on Thursday
with canoe sprint heats and three semifinals, and four paracanoe heats. The
first sets of medals will be awarded on Thursday in men's K4 1000m, women's K2
