The 19th Fina World Masters Championships – Kyushu 2022 – will run from 2-11 August 2023 in Japan.
The event – which will feature
artistic swimming, diving, open water swimming, pool swimming and water polo –
will take place across three cities; Fukuoka, Kumamoto and Kagoshima.
Around 10,000 athletes from 100
nations are expected to take part in Japan next year in the tournament which
was originally scheduled for 2022.
However, a 12 month delay was
introduced due to on-going concerns around the Covid-19 pandemic.
Budapest, Hungary, hosted the last
edition of the Fina World Masters Championships in 2019, with LEN’s most recent
European Masters Championships taking place this summer in Rome, Italy.
