Überragende Schwimmerin war Maria Ugolkova vom Schwimmclub Uster Wallisellen. Sie schwamm drei Schweizerrekorde im Einzel über 400 Lagen, 200 Freistil und 100 Lagen und einen Rekord mit der Klubstaffel über 4x50 Lagen. Ihr Rekord über 100 Lagen in 59.75 Sekunden bedeutet die Führung in der europäischen Saisonbestenliste. Sie gewann 7 Goldmedaillen in all ihren Rennen. Maria Ugolkova gilt als Anwärterin auf eine EM Medaille über 200 Lagen an den Kurzbahn-EM von Mitte Dezember in Glasgow.
Einen hochkarätigen Schweizerrekord hat auch Thierry Bollin vom Schwimmklub Bern realisiert. Über 100 Rücken pulverisierte er den Schweizerrekord von Flori Lang aus dem Jahre 2008 um über eine Sekunde auf 50.95 Sekunden, was den siebten Platz im europäischen Saisonranking bedeutet.
Lisa Mamié egalisierte ihren eigenen Schweizerrekord über 50 Brust und führt zusammen mit Maria Ugolkova das achtköpfige EM-Team der Schweizer an.
