The 2022 ECA European Open Canoe
Slalom cup series continues this weekend with two traditional venues that have
many experiences with top level competitions. One is Pau, where the second race
of the Pyrenees Cup will be organised, and the other Liptovsky Mikulaš, which
will host the ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships later this month.
Traditional Pyrenees Cup consists of
races in La Seu d’Urgell and Pau and this year results of these two races also
count for the ECA European Open Canoe Slalom Cup series. The race in Spain was
held past weekend and this weekend it is time for the challenge in Pau, France.
Saturday will be dedicated to heats in all events and extreme slalom time
trials, and on Sunday semifinals and finals in canoe slalom, and extreme slalom
heats and finals are on.

The race in Liptovsky Mikulaš will be
a test before the European Championships
The 74th International Tatra Slalom,
the longest running canoe slalom competition in the world, will welcome
competitors from thirteen countries on Saturday and Sunday in the Ondrej
Cibak’s White Water Venue.
Many European paddlers will use this
race as a test before the 2022 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships kicks
off on 26th May, while the race will be especially important for Slovak
paddlers who will fight for the spots in the national team.
