LAUSANNE (Switzerland) – Committed to
delivering marquee events for our athletes, FINA revealed the calendar for the
FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2022 and the FINA Diving World Series 2022
on Thursday.
The FINA Artistic Swimming World
Series 2022 will be held over five legs, starting with a virtual event jointly
hosted by the USA and Canada on 19-20 March. The series will then move to Paris
(FRA) on 1-3 April.
For the first time, Kazan (RUS) will
host the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series and FINA Diving World Series
together on 8-10 April, underlining FINA’s commitment to bring the global
aquatics community closer together through events with multiple disciplines.
The circuit will then move to
Australia for a virtual event on 7-8 May as a lead-in to the 19th FINA World
Championships 2022 in Fukuoka (JPN), which will take place from 13-29 May,
before concluding with the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2022 Super
Finals. FINA will announce more details for the latter event at a later date.
The FINA Diving World Series 2022
will be held over four legs and gets underway in Montreal (CAN) on 27 March
2022. Kazan (RUS) will then welcome the world’s best divers and swimmers for
the joint FINA Diving World Series and FINA Artistic Swimming World Series on
8-10 April 2022. The series will then move to Wuhan (CHN) on 27-29 May 2022
before concluding in the city of Zhuhai (CHN) on 3-5 June 2022.

"The competition schedule for
the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2022 and the FINA Diving World Series
2022 will see the world’s best divers and artistic swimmers compete in
state-of-the-art venues globally. FINA will be working closely with each of the
cities to ensure that the athletes can focus all their energy on delivering
outstanding performances,” said FINA President Captain Husain Al-Musallam.
FINA also revealed the dates for
several age group world-level events.
The FINA World Junior Artistic
Swimming Championships will be held from 9-13 August 2022 in Charlotte (USA)
for emerging athletes from 15-18 years old during the 2022 year and the FINA
World Youth Artistic Swimming Championships will take place in Quebec City
(CAN) from 10-13 October 2022 for athletes aged 13-15.
Montreal (CAN) will also host the
FINA World Junior Diving Championships, rounding out the busy year of events
from 25 November to 4 December.

The Fédération Internationale de
Natation, founded in 1908, is the governing body for aquatics worldwide. FINA's
five discipline Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Diving, Water Polo and Artistic
Swimming - are all included in the Olympic programme. High Diving made its
first appearance in FINA events at the 2013 FINA World Championships. FINA
counts 209 affiliated National Federations on the five continents and has its
headquarters in Lausanne (SUI).
