Artistic Swimming World Series to resume in Budapest



After the U.S. virtually held the first stage of the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series, Budapest (HUN) will host the second leg from April 10-11 at the state-of-the-art Duna Arena, the venue that welcomed the 2017 FINA World Championships.

The entry lists include several big names of the discipline: Canada’s Jacqueline Simoneau and Claudia Holzner, the Alexandri sisters from Austria as well as the World champions Russian mixed duet Aleksandr Maltsev and Mayya Gurbanberdieva.

Hosted according strict COVID-19 regulations and spread over two competition days, the schedule unfolds as follows:

 

DAY 1 – Saturday April 10

10:30am – Women Duet Technical

11:45am – Women Solo Technical

04:30pm – Women Team Technical

04:40pm – Mixed Duet Technical

07:25pm – Women Team Highlights

 

DAY 2 – Sunday April 11

10:30am - Women Duet Free

11:45am - Women Solo Free

04:25pm – Women Team Free

04:35pm – Mixed Duet Free

07:25pm – Women Team Free Combination

The World Series will next move to Kazan (RUS) from April 16-18.

 

The Fédération Internationale de Natation, FINA (founded in 1908) is the governing body for aquatics worldwide.

Its five disciplines - Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Diving, Water Polo and Artistic Swimming - are all included in the Olympic programme. High Diving is on the World Championships programme since 2013. FINA organises World Championships, World Swimming Championships in 25m-pool and World Masters Championships every two years. FINA counts 209 affiliated National Federations on the five continents and has its headquarters in Lausanne (SUI).
