The 2023 ECA Canoe Marathon European
Championships will start today in Slavonski Brod, Croatia, with an opening
ceremony, and the competitors will fight for the medals over four competition
days, from Thursday until Sunday.
Athletes from 23 European countries
will fight for the medals at the 2023 ECA Canoe Marathon European Championships
on the Sava River in Slavonski Brod, Croatia.
The European Championships will
feature many excellent athletes fighting for the medals and European Champion
titles over four competition days. On the startlist we can find Canoe Marathon
stars such as Mads Pedersen, Jose Ramalho, Ivan Alonso, Vanda Kiszli, Zsofia
Voros, Eva Barrios, Manuel Garrido, Manuel Campos, Liudmyla Babak, Marton
Kover, Jakub Brezina, Quentin Urban, Jeremy Candy, Adrian Boros and many more.
The first competition day brings the
short races and men's and women's canoe race in junior age group. On Friday, we
will follow junior women's K1 and men's C2 races as well as U23 MC1, WC1, WK1
and MK1 events.
On Saturday, men's junior kayak event
is the first one on the programme, followed by women's and men's senior canoe
event, junior women's K2 race and senior women's and men's kayak event. On
Sunday, the European Championships will conclude with junior men's K2, and
three senior double events: Men's C2, women's K2 and men's K2 races.
