Entre les modificacions importants que s'han realitzat destaquen la unificació de les travessies de 3.4K i 5.7K en una sola de 4.4K (amb sortida i arribada a la Platgeta i que arriba fins la Meda Gran). Així mateix, s'ha optat per crear una cambra de sortida on els nedadors i nedadores sortiran en grups de 10 cada 30" entre les 9:00 i les 9:25. D'aquesta manera evitem el contacte entre desenes de nedadors i nedadores a la zona de sortida.
En aquesta línia, el briefing tècnic serà online i s'entregarà tota la documentació tècnica també per email; es crearan circuits i senyalètica per evitar aglomeracions i no s'acceptaran inscripcions el mateix dia de l'esdeveniment, i tampoc se celebrarà la travessia Junior.
