Dates of the 2021 ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup revealed

The dates of the Senior and Junior ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup race series in the year 2021 are known. However, due to the pandemic it is possible that some competitions might be postponed at short notice.

After only two races of the ECA Wildwater Sprint canoeing European Cup series in Česke Budejovice and on Kolpa River were held last year, the hopes are high there will be more action this year.

New venues have found a place in the series with France and Italy joining the usual organising countries of Czech Republic and Slovenia. Banja Luka and Skopje that were traditionally in the programme are missing in this year's series. The best four races out of five will count for the overall standings.

The start of the 2021 edition of the ECA Wildwater Sprint Canoeing European Cup is scheduled for 20th and 21st March in Metz, France. This is the only race planned for the spring part of the competition calendar as the series then continues in July. Italian venues in Valtellina and Mezzana are scheduled for 3rd - 4th July and 23rd - 24th July. The fourth race in the series will be held in Česke Budejovice, Czech Republic, on 21st and 22nd August. The series will conclude on 8th - 9th October 2021 on Kolpa River, Slovenia.

The safety of athletes and everyone involved is a priority, therefore the organisation of events will be based on the Covid-19 situation and some of the races might be postponed at short notice.
