LEN European Aquatics announces nominees for 2022 LEN Awards

As a traditional form of honouring the outstanding men and women competitors, this week, LEN European Aquatics has announced the nominees for the 2022 LEN Awards. At the same time, LEN embraced a new initiative and for the first time it opened the voting for the public on LEN´s website – www.len.eu – until February 10th. Fans all over the world can vote for their favourite athletes to honour their spectacular achievements over the past 12 months.

The LEN European Aquatics Awards is an annual event organized by the European Swimming League (LEN) to recognize the best athletes in various disciplines of aquatics such as Swimming, Artistic Swimming, Open Waters, Diving, and Water Polo. For the first time, this year, LEN will also award male and female winners from High Diving, which debuted at the 2022 European Championships.

The event is a highlight of the European aquatic sports community and aims at promoting and celebrating their achievements.

Nominees were chosen based on their performances during the 2022 season at LEN and World Aquatics (formerly FINA) events. These shortlists were approved by the Technical Committee of each discipline and ratified by the Executive Bureau.

The public vote will count for 30% of the total voting, with 70% weighting for the LEN members and technical committee voting.
