The Luck Of The Draw For Jorge Crivilles Villanueva

Courtesy of WOWSAHuntington Beach, California.

Sometimes it is rough. Often it is like a lake.

But with a long marathon swimming resume that includes swims in various locations throughout Spain, across the Strait of Gibraltar and the English Channel, and around Manhattan Island, rough and bumpy conditions did not present any problems for Jorge Crivilles Villanueva who completed a crossing of the Catalina Channel in 11 hours 43 minutes.

The 44-year-old from Alicante became the 107th person in history and the fourth Spaniard to achieve the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming after Jaime Caballero, Miquel Suñer Comalat, and Selina Moreno Pasagali.
